Frog in looking glass

Nature photography is one of my favorite pastimes. When I’m out in the field, I become completely involved in observing, and feel great enjoyment and appreciation.

Capturing this feeling and moment is a goal that I am continually striving to improve.

I have been using a camera since I was a child, and grew up around film photography spending hours in the darkroom. The technological advances of digital photography and home image printing have given me the opportunity to sell my images.

My photos have been displayed in Los Angeles, Australia, and at various local exhibits including the Biltmore House, and the Cradle of Forestry.

Like all nature photographers, I strive to capture the beauty and essence of the natural world through my photographs. Just as every human being is unique, so is the perspective of every photographer. Through these photographs, I’m inviting you to share my awe of nature.

To look into the eyes of a bear, and connect briefly to something so amazing;

To see the elegance of a hawk soaring in the sky;

To follow a butterfly from flower to flower;

To listen to the ocean waves;

To be in Awe of Nature.

All the images are printed on archival paper or canvas with archival inks. The canvas prints are sprayed with two layers of a UV protective coating. However, all these prints should be kept out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods. I print all my photographs using an Epson Stylus Photo 2200 and a Canon Image Prograph 6300, on archival paper.

Prints and notecards are available through this website and at Woolworth Walk in Asheville, North Carolina.
